RAZAN JAFAR - DIRECTOR

Razan Jafar, Crescent Petroleum

Razan Jafar is a Director at the Crescent Group of companies, based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. She works alongside her father, Hamid Jafar, in the Chairman’s Office of Crescent Petroleum, where she focuses on the companies’ legal matters and business services. She also serves as a Board Member of the Crescent Group and Secretary of the Dana Gas International Advisory Board.

Prior to joining Crescent, Razan qualified as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales with the Norton Rose Group, working across its London, Paris and Dubai offices. Earlier in her career, she was a Research Associate at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law (LCIL) at Cambridge University, where she worked alongside the late Professor James Crawford, assisting him and his colleagues on a number of significant international law publications.

Razan is a Governor of Dubai College, a leading not-for-profit British curriculum secondary school in the UAE, established in 1978 and consistently rated Outstanding for its academic record and holistic approach to education. She also sits on the Board of Trustees of The Borne Foundation, a UK medical research charity that funds pioneering scientific research with the mission of preventing premature birth and improving outcomes for mothers and babies worldwide.

Razan obtained her BA, and subsequently MA, in Law from Cambridge University.
