Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired a meeting with representatives of Crescent Petroleum, in the presence of the Ministers of Oil and Electricity.
During the meeting, the government’s plans to proceed with gas investment in partnership with the private sector were discussed.
His Excellency directed the Ministry of Electricity to move forward with contracting Crescent Petroleum to secure 100 million standard cubic feet of gas to be used in operating power stations.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani also instructed the Ministry of Oil to expedite the resolution of all obstacles hindering Crescent Petroleum’s gas and oil investment in the Khashm Al-Ahmar – Injana field, located in Diyala province, within a specific timeline and framework.
